the two in atlanta have a decent enclosure, good luck seeing them active,
ive been out there at least 6 times in the past year, and have seen them
feeding once.
Has anyone been to the Memphis Zoo yet to see the Pandas? I hope to swing
by there and Atlanta this summer... perhaps San Diego in the Fall.

The giant pandas in Washington DC are most active during
the morning ( 7am-9:45am) and when they are being fed.
One way zoos kept giant pandas more active is by making
them forage/find their food or work for their food, e.g.
dig out, shake out , or grab food from a puzzle-like container.
Giant panda are also more active during the mating season as
well - March to early April. Female pandas tend to be more
sluggish during the birthing season - Late July to
mid September. Giant Pandas are more suited to colder
climates and apt to be more active in colder climate
conditions. Best viewing times November to March.
